Explore post-nuclear Appalachia in this RPG

Fallout 76 takes Bethesda Game Studios’ seminal Fallout series in this premium fight-for-survival, post-apocalypse multiplayer experience. This action game is a perfect lead into the wider world of Fallout for the fans of the series, or even for newcomers to the franchise.

The open-world title Fallout 76 offers a fresh take on the beloved franchise, promising immersive questlines, dynamic gameplay, and the freedom to forge your own path in a world teeming with danger and opportunity. Set 25 years after the devastating nuclear apocalypse, players emerge from Vault 76 into the vast and untamed landscape of post-nuclear America.

What is the player’s character in Fallout 76?

Set twenty years before the events of the main series, Fallout 76 casts you as a survivor of an atomic war. In the prototype Vault 76, individuals have been cryogenically frozen to wake after the nuclear fallout and rebuild planet Earth. Unfortunately, things have gone wrong. Now, you become a lonely wanderer seeking out an existence in a time and land before the rise of the factions you may come to either know and love—or loathe—from the series.

First off, you need to survive, and for that, you need water, rations, and equipment. The environment itself—from hazardous radiation to animals or mutated abominations—is your enemy. The multiplayer aspect comes into play, as each server accommodates approximately 24 to 32 players to explore a vast world. However, the game is not a traditional MMO, due to its smaller number of players per server.

Besides that, one of the standout features is its expansive world, meticulously crafted to reflect the harsh realities of post-apocalyptic West Virginia. From the dense forests of Appalachia to the dangerous Cranberry Bog, each region offers its challenges and mysteries waiting to be uncovered. As you journey through the wasteland, you can encounter fellow survivors, factions vying for control, and new neighbors seeking to rebuild civilization.

The Gone Fission update

The Gone Fission update introduces fishing to the game, allowing you to cast a line anywhere you can swim. An all-new questline, Casting Off, in Fisherman’s Rest introduces several new characters and grants you a fishing rod. You can upgrade your rod and use different baits, with weather influencing catches like rare Axolotls and Local Legends. Season 21 also offers fishing-themed rewards.

This update also brings a significant combat rebalance. The Harpoon Gun sees major buffs, and many weapons now retain more damage at longer ranges. Base AP costs are lowered for several firearms, while many melee weapons receive increased base damage. Limb damage mechanics are revamped for consistency, and numerous perks and legendary mods are rebalanced, aiming for greater build diversity.

Offers a vast and immersive exploration

Fallout 76 presents an engaging addition to the Fallout franchise, offering a vast and immersive world ripe for exploration and adventure. With its compelling narrative, dynamic gameplay, and emphasis on player choice, it’s a must-try game for both longtime fans of the series and newcomers alike. It captivates players to grab their gear, venture into the wasteland, and embark on a journey through post-nuclear Appalachia like never before.

Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
